“This year I started from scratch. This is something I didn’t think I would learn, and after consulting with a few people and some self-reflection, I decided it was right for me and it would challenge me. I was terribly afraid of horses at first, and slowly it was released, especially since we did groundwork with the horses at the beginning, and slowly I gained confidence in front of the horses. I used to stay away from them during groundwork, and now I am more confident in front of them and feel like a leader.
During the year I fell off the horse twice, which made it really difficult for me to continue learning. I was very hesitant and it took me time to get back to running and cantering and working on myself. The biggest lesson I learned is that everything is possible, even in situations where it seemed most impossible to me, I didn’t give up on myself. And today I am much more confident and successful – this contributes a lot to me in the future, also in life itself, that there are difficult moments that can be overcome even when it is very difficult, and it makes me not give up. And this is the message I want to convey when I become an instructor as well.”
